The multiple stone tool is used mainly for straight-face dressing.
CHISEL-EDGE DRESSER 2 to 5 stones are carefully aligned on this tool so that all stones are cutting on the wheel, which in turn produces a more open wheel and a greater number of pieces per dressing.
CLUSTER TOOL features a specified number of whole diamonds set in spaced relationship, in single or multiple layers, so that at least 2 or 3 stones are always in contact with the wheel. By control of traverse speed this versatile tool will give a variety of finishes and still offer the economy of smaller sized stones doing the work of a single, large, expensive stone. Further, this tool will hold size on any width of wheel and, as a result, is a particularly outstanding performer on centerless and large external work.
IMPREGNATED TOOL is distinguished from the cluster type tool by having a multitude of diamonds set at random. Being an extremely efficient tool, the impregnated tool is especially recommended for centerless and large external roughing operations.
